In this fiery f/f romance, Nia Ellis has the chance to fall in love, if she can overcome the devastating loss of her mentor, Pat, and step outside of her guarded emotions. At Pat’s funeral, Kayla blindsides Nia with a deep-seated secret, sparking feelings of betrayal. Weeks after the funeral, Nia is still figuring out how to handle the unexplained secret. She can’t turn to Pat’s family or her closest friends, Tasha and Jacoby, for comfort. When an opportunity for answers finally arises, Nia is hooked by an illicit fling and thrust into a battle zone with Pat’s three sisters. Nia believes she’s in control of her healing. Lingering insecurities, however, challenge her progress. She learns there’s a thin line between love and hate when former relationships and loyalties are lost in her circle of friends.
