Details
The year is 1957, and the Catholic Church rules Ireland with an iron fist. Detective Inspector St. John Strafford is summoned to County Wexford to investigate the murder of a parish priest, found dead at the home of local artistocrats. Strafford--flinty, visibly Protestant, and determined--faces obstruction at every turn. When his own deputy goes missing, he must work to unravel the mystery before village secrets obliterate everything.
