Abstract
Christine Sutherland, co-founder of the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, teaches the basics of palliative massage to allow medical professionals, hospice volunteers, and the family and friends of palliative patients to ensure a better quality of for palliative patients. It covers basic massage strokes and then explores how to use them to alleviate common palliative circulatory, respiratory, and digestive problems. The book also covers other end-of-life decisions, such as where to die, and explores the role of massage in the grieving process.
