Nick Rafter is a seaoned federal prosecutor who has just been appointed as a judge. Though he should be content, he feels unsure in his new post after he discovers that his clerk is a gorgeous young woman from his past, Samantha Parker. Nick feels he can't trust her, or himself--one moment of passion could lead to scandal and the end of both their careers. But as they work closer and closer together, their intense longing for each other threatens to explode in a blaze of lust.
