Peter Dunstan has just bought a ranch that comes with a stipulation: he must retain Sandy Sweyn, a half-wit with the ability to talk to animals. Dunstan thinks he has a fabulous gift on his hands, but when he tries to take advantage of this gift, misfortune inevitably befalls him.
