Abstract
The childhood memories of the author portray the building of the Grand Coulee Dam during the Depression, and the stories of the men who came to build it. B Street was the street of shops, restaurants, bars, and brothels where the workmen spent their recreational hours and wages;a raucous playground of frivolity, good times, and pretty ladies. Contrasts the extreme conditions the workers toiled under with the Indians whose villages were flooded and whose way of life was irrevocably changed. 2008.
