Abstract
Following clues left by Kallista's missing father, Leo Babbage, Trenton and Kallista head west aboard their homemade mechanical dragon to search for answers. Instead, they find a blackened forest, ruined buildings, a small underground city, and themselves in the middle of a civil war.
