Chief psychiatrist Henry Harrison's new patient, Bertram, has voluntarily confined himself within Shadowbrook's grim walls. A veteran of WWII, Bertram seems to suffer from a strange case of war neurosis--paranoia that his Nazi brother is out to kill him. But after spotting an intruder lurking about the hospital grounds, Harrison thinks Bertram may be telling the truth. Now Harrison must piece together the puzzle of Bertram's story--while keeping a grip on his own psyche.
