Abstract
Barcelona, 1957. It's Christmastime, and Daniel Sempere and his wife, Bea, are filled with joy over the birth of their son, Julián, and the upcoming wedding of their beloved friend Fermín Romero de Torres. But their happiness is soon overshadowed when a mysterious figure appears at the Sempere bookshop, threatening to expose a long-buried secret from Barcelona’s turbulent past. His arrival sends Daniel and Fermín spiraling into a dangerous journey that reaches back to the grim early years of Franco’s dictatorship.
