  • American government : power and purpose

    Abstract

In this major revision, new co-author Stephen Ansolabehere sharpens the contemporary analytical perspective in the political behaviour chapters and a new primer on 'Analyzing Evidence' in Chapter 1 sets the stage for sections in every chapter that highlight the political science behind the findings reported in the text. Throughout the book, the authors have integrated the popular Five Principles of Politics framework more deeply into each chapter's analysis

  • Don't think of an elephant! : know your values and frame the debate

    Creator

    Lakoff, George

    Abstract

Author George Lakoff, who has become a key advisor to the Democratic Party, asserts that the Republican Party has enjoyed recent success because of the way it expertly "frames" the issues. Using carefully chosen terminology like "tax relief" and "family values," conservatives have cast themselves in a positive light and convinced many Americans to vote against their true beliefs. Now Lakoff shows how progressives can beat conservatives at their own game.

  • Mein Kampf - Volume 1

    Creator

    Hitler, Adolf

    Abstract

Mein Kampf is a book by Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. It combines elements of autobiography with an exposition of Hitler's political ideology. Hitler began the dictation of the book while imprisoned for what he considered to be "political crimes" after his failed Putsch in Munich in November 1923. Though Hitler received many visitors earlier on, he soon devoted himself entirely to the book. As he continued, Hitler realized that it would have to be a two-volume work, with the first volume scheduled for release in early 1925.
