The holidays are the icing on the cake for bakery owner Hannah Swensen. Surrounded by her loved ones, she has all the ingredients for a perfect Christmas--until murder is added to the mix.

Hannah Swensen, amateur sleuth and boutique bake store proprietor extraordinaire, is judging a dessert contest when fellow judge Coach Boyd Watson is found dead, face down in a delicate confection no less.

Christmas is here and Hannah's shop, The Cookie Jar, is hopping. The holiday season loses a little luster, however, when a local businessman is discovered dead in his office. Now it's up to Hannah to find the killer and restore some yuletide joy.

With The Cookie Jar, Hannah Swensen has a mouthwatering monopoly on the bakery business of Lake Eden, Minnesota. But when a rival store opens, and one of the owners is found shot to death in the store, Hannah is determined to prove that she wasn't the only one who had an axe to grind with the Quinn sisters. Somebody wasn't fooled by the Georgia Peaches and their sweet-as-pie act--and now it's up to Hannah to track down whoever had the right ingredients to whip up a murder.

Just when her life seems to settle down, Hannah is surprised by the news that her companion, Norman Rhodes, is buying a house. Soon after Hannah and her mother arrive to clear out the house, they discover the dead body of the former owner, Rhonda Sar, along with some of Hannah's famous lemon meringue pie. Hanna must switch her baker's hat for her sleuthing cap and get to the bottom of this puzzling mustery.

The Cookie Jar is abuzz with activity. Hannah's all set to make sweets for the upcoming fair, judge a bake-off and assist a friend in his magic act. But all is not well in the tiny town of Lake Eden. Student teacher Willa Sunquist is found murdered with a key lime pie toppled over at the scene. The list of suspects runs around the block, and Hannah must sift through this motley assortment before the devious villain strikes again.

Hannah Swensen, like most women in Lake Eden, Minnesota, is not a fan of Ronni Ward--the man-stealing gym bunny. So when Ronni turns up lifeless in a jacuzzi--accompanied by one of Hannah's cream puffs--the long list of suspects begins with Hannah.

Hannah takes a break from sifting through her multiple marriage proposals. Hollywood has come to Lake Eden and The Cookie Jar is serving as snack central for the movie crew--Hannah's cherry cheesecake is demanding director Dean Lawrence's favorite. But no one seems to like Lawrence, so when he turns up dead, there's a baker's dozen suspects. it seems someone switched the movie's prop gun with a real gun, and the director's acting demonstration turned fatal.

It's summer time in Lake Eden, Minnesota, which means picnics aplenty for bakery proprietress and amateur sleuth Hannah. Then Uncle Gus is murdered following a big family reunion, and the only clues to be found at the crime scene are two slices of Hannah's infamous carrot cake.

Hannah's popular bakery, The Cookie Jar, licated in Lake Eden, Minnesota, is best known for its tempting confections--until best-selling cookbook author and television personality Connie McIntyre is murdered in its pantry while baking a special treat for the town's Winter Carnival. Despite police warnings to steer clear of the case, Hannah is soon chasing down a bevy of suspicious characters.
