A unique collection of narratives from women from all around the globe. These are stories of compassion and bravery, empowered by the vision of a better world for all life. They emphasize the need to empower the feminine and assure gender balance and human rights for all.

Canadian and international authors offer ground-breaking work in this collection that brings together almost seventy articles by formative feminist writers, researchers, activists and visionaries to illuminate the profound globalizing processes of our time. Critical analyses of current globalization and possible alternatives are presented in the context of global feminist dialogue and activism since the 1980s.

This important and ground-breaking collection brings together the diverse voices of women with various disabilities, both physical and mental. Here, Canadian women speak frankly about the societal barriers they encounter in their everyday lives due to social attitudes and physical and systemic inaccessibility. They bring to light the discrimination they experience through sexism, because they are women, and through ableism, because they have disabilities. For them, the personal is definitely political.

Against Death: 35 Essays On Living articulates the personal experiences of each author's ""near-deathness,"" utilizing fresh and inventive language to represent what ""magical thinking"" proposes. These pieces are incisive and articulate, avoiding the usual platitudes, feel-good bromides, and pep talks associated with near-death encounters. The writing moves past the sob story and confronts the tough circumstance of facing death with truth and compassion, no matter how ugly or (in)convenient.

In Garage Criticism Peter Babiak eviscerates and deflates some of the cultural hot topics of our time. Babiak deconstructs our fascination with internet culture, devolves the rhetorical hallucinations of economics and marketing, and reasserts the supremacy of linguistic thinking in everyday cultural affairs.

Art about the climate crisis that calls for justice and systemic change while raising funds to help tackle the problem. We are in a climate emergency. The polar bears are starving, Australia is burning. Climate anxiety--like sea levels--is rising to unprecedented levels. In response to this, poet and editor Kathryn Mockler created a website where writers and artists could post creative works that respond to this crisis. We live in an "adultitarian" state, where the rules are based on very adult priorities and understandings of reality. Young people are disenfranchised and powerless; they understand they're subject to an authoritarian regime, whether they buy into it or not. But their unique perspectives also offer incredible potential for social, cultural and economic innovation.
