Warrior Life: Indigenous Resistance and Resurgence is the second book of the best blogs and articles authored by Pamela Palmater since her first book: Indigenous Nationhood: Empowering Grassroots Citizens. Like the first book, this one provides short chapters on current Indigenous issues that are easily accessible to students and the general public under the general topic areas of Canadian and First Nation politics, racism, sexualized genocide, Canadian law and policy impacting Indigenous peoples and a critique of reconciliation initiatives.

During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, thousands of Icelanders emigrated to both North and South America. Although the best known Icelandic settlements were in southern Manitoba, in the area that became known as “New Iceland,” Icelanders also established important settlements in Brazil, Minnesota, Utah, Wisconsin, Washington, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia. In the second edition of About Canada: Disability Rights, Deborah Stienstra explores the historical and current experiences of people with disabilities in Canada, as well as the policy and advocacy responses to these experiences.

The author draws from the critical ethnography she conducted to provide concrete examples of the research process including issues related to data analysis and respectful representation. A unique feature of the book is the emphasis on advisement and the student-advisor relationship that is embedded in chapter discussions. The author addresses the complexities of the relationships that develop between students and advisors over time, emphasizing the role students can play in ensuring the relationship is productive from the beginning to the completion of their research journey.

Adele Wiseman was a seminal figure in Canadian letters. Always independent and wilful, she charted her own literary career, based on her unfailing belief in her artistic vision.

The voices of young female prostitutes offer a chorus of disturbing firsthand perspectives on sexual exploitation and the inadequacies of government programs designed to help them in this account of the sex trade. To provide a full picture of the complex issues of the sex trade, discussions are included of health and safety concerns, the effect of prostitution on identity, the prevalence of violence, the legislation passed to protect prostitutes, the factors that force young women to become prostitutes, and the support required to facilitate their transition out of the sex trade.

Living the Changes explores the nature and extent of women's changing realities.
